Description
The Passion symbols, spear, cross, sponge, nails, and the crown of thorns in the hands of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel, together in an icon of the Virgin Mary and the Child. The original painting is attributed to the hagiographer Andreas Ritzos, in the fifteenth century, whose works are found in Patmos and Italy. The icon is exhibited at the Byzantine Museum of Athens.
