Description
Central Icon: This is the Icon depicting the Christian belief that God is comprised of three entities: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. It is the work of the Russian monk Andrei Rublyov in 1515 AD, for the decoration of the Cathedral of the Ascension in Moscow. It is considered one of the greatest artworks for its theological synthesis, the richness of symbolisms and its superior artistic value. It is exhibited at the Tretiakov Gallery in Moscow.
