Description
Saint Victor of Damascus was a soldier in the Roman army Marseilles. Converted Christian he lived and preached during the reign of Antonius and Eutychus around 160 A.D. in Italy. He preached the word of God in various Italian cities and was responsible for converting many idolaters in the Roman Empire. The pagan enemy arrested him, cut off his fingers, blinded him in attempt to force him to renounce Christ and to offer sacrifice to pagan idols. When he refused, they beheaded him in Damascus. Feast Day Jul 21th for Roman Catholic Church and Nov 11th for Eastern Orthodox Church
