Description
A humble shepherd and a simple man devoted to God at a young age, Spyridon became a priest in his village giving people in need his worldly possessions. Spyridon came from a very wealthy family. Saint Spyridon married and had a daughter. After his wife’s early and very sudden death, he enters the monastery and puts his daughter, Irene, into a covenant. Eventually, for his devotion to God and his selfless giving to people, he is named the Bishop of Trymythous.
