Description

One of Jesus’ first disciples in present day Israel, Saint Peter, was fishing when he encountered Jesus for the first time. After hours of fishing, his nets were empty when Christ told him to cast his net on the other side of the boat. Suddenly, there were so many fish in the net that the boat started to sink. After witnessing this miracle, Peter left his family to follow Jesus on his mission. Jesus asked the disciple “Who do you think I am?” Peter answered you are the Messiah and the Living God. Jesus then told him, “Peter, you are the rock I am going to build my church on. “
