One of Jesus’s Twelve Disciples Saint Jude is venerated in many countries around the world with the constructed shrines or churches dedicated to his memory. His presents can be seen on every major continent. Saint Jude was venerated by the Catholic Church as the patron saint of hopeless causes. It is believed that Saint Jude who was often mistaken for Judas, the betrayer of Jesus, was eager to clear his name so he would help people in incredibly difficult situations. His patronage extends further as time goes on and it is woven into today’s culture. Feast Days: Eastern Church celebrates Saint Jude on June 19th and June 30th. Roman Catholic celebrates on Oct 28th.
