Description
The name Pantaleon means “all-merciful” and he dedicated his life to the suffering, the sick, the unfortunate and the needy. He treated everyone and without a fee which created discontent with the other physicians. Because of this the emperor arrested him and he was severely tortured but was protected by the Lord. He remained steadfast, confessing his faith in the Savior. He was eventually beheaded by the emperor. He is regarded as a great healer, both physical and spiritual.
